The Goshen Festival Singers will perform at a gala Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. in Warren.

The event will benefit Warren Congregational Church’s organ restoration fund.

The gala will feature a four-course gourmet dinner and a performance by the Goshen Festival Singers, who will perform a variety of holiday tunes.

The group Singers will be directed and accompanied by Cindy Iffland on piano.

Other instrumentalists will be Diane Taylor of New Milford on flute and David Hall of Harwinton on oboe.

The group, based in Litchfield County, is made up of singers from New Milford, Litchfield, Goshen, Harwinton, Torrington, Warren and Watertown.

The gala is the first of several fundraising events that will be held by the church to raise funds for long overdue organ repairs and renovations.

Phase one of the organ restoration project is to replace/correct/update the blower and wind system, which has an estimated cost of $25,000, as recommended by the S.L. Huntington Co. in Stonington.

The Goshen Festival Singers are best known for their performances at the Goshen Congregational Church’s Annual Feast and Song.

They have performed at churches, assisted living and nursing home facilities, and many community events.

In the past three years they have held very successful benefit performances for Project Main Street, a non-profit organization helping patients and families living with ALS, for the Torrington Area Parkinson’s support group to fund exercise programs for area patients living with Parkinson’s, Goshen Hospice and for the Connecticut Department of Developmental Services Activity Fund (for adaptive bicycles).

Tickets are $25 and may be reserved by calling the 4 Sackett Hill Road church at 860-868-7106.
