The Performing Arts Center (PAC) based at The Connecticut Sports Arena in New Milford will kick off an adult acting 101 class Jan. 31.

The class, which will meet Sundays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. through June, will be led by Robin Frome.

The course will concentrate on the actors workshopping scene work from the more popular playwrights of the 20th century, including Arthur Miller, Neil Simon, Eugene O’Neil, Tennessee Williams and Edward Albee.

Frome will use the basic Stanislavski approach, utilizing the philosophies of Uta Hagen and Harold Clurman.

“I call it adult acting 101 because I want to attract those that may be interested in trying it out for the first time along with those more experienced who are need to hone their existing talents and skills,” Frome said.

Frome is the artistic director of The Sherman Playhouse in Sherman.
