The Washington Friends of Music recently received a grant from Connecticut Community Foundation (CCF) to help sponsor its Summer Concert Series.

"We are very grateful to the CCF and are proud to be recognized by this important organization," said WFM's president Hermann Tammen.

"Our successful New Year's Day concert was enjoyed by over 80 guests at the historic meeting house in Washington," he said.

The group's spring concert will be held April 28.

WFM, a nonprofit organization established in 2012, aims to provide a forum for the New Baroque Soloists, a chamber orchestra of five to eight professional musicians, to perform concerts as well as to promote other fine musical events in Washington.
