The first Washington Friends of Music summer concert will be held July 22 at 5:30 p.m.

The concert, to be held at the Washington Congregational Church on the Green, will feature Suzanne Bona of Sunday Baroque, who will perform with the nine-member New Baroque Soloists under the leadership of Douglas Myers.

A highlight of the evening will be the special benefit dinner for Washington Friends of Music with Bona, hosted by Barbara and Charles Robinson at their Brush Hill Gardens.

In addition, prior to the concert, Bona will give a free talk about Baroque music in general, and Sunday Baroque, at Gunn Memorial Library on Wykeham Road.

Registration for the talk is required by calling the library at 860-868-7586.

Future concerts will be held July 29, Aug. 5 and 12 at 5:30 p.m. at the church.

Tickets to the concerts are $25 in advance, $30 at the door, $20 for first-time guests and $10 for students. Children will be admitted for free.

A package to attend all four concerts is available for $90.
