Frank Rant, 89, was brother of Roxbury woman
Mr. Rant was born Nov. 2, 1915, son of the late Stephen and Nellie Rant of Roxbury.
He was an Air Force veteran, serving from 1940 to 1986. He later worked as a flight instructor and ground school teacher with the Civil Service Department for more than 21 years. He had also worked at the Aviation Center in Fort Rucker, Ala., for 10 years. He later served with the Civil Air Patrol.
Mr. Rant is survived by a son, Billy of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Marilyn of Waynesville, N.C., and Renee Maye of Dothan; two sisters, Mary Weaver of Roxbury and Frances Peck of South Britain; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The Byrd Funeral Home of Dothan handled arrangements.
