Frank Dorrico, 76, was father of Kent resident
He was born Dec. 7, 1930, in Stamford, the son of the late Frank A. and Mary (Gaudiano) Dorrico.
After graduating from Pace University in 1952, he settled in Greenwich to raise his family. They lived there for 38 years.
He was a senior accounting supervisor for Mobil Oil Corp. for 38 years.
He was active in the Greenwich Boy Scout Council and the Yankee Council, serving the Danbury area. He was proud of the Scouts he knew and nurtured. He also had a special place in his heart for the 35 Scouts he helped acquire the rank of Eagle Scout. He received the Silver Eagle Award, the highest ranking award for an adult. He also received the St. George Award from the Catholic Scouting Council.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Frank of Stamford, Kevin of Wylie, Texas, Susan and her husband Rick of Kent, Patricia of Greenwich and Mike and his wife DeeAnn of Norwalk; four grandchildren, Nicole and her husband Vinny of Texas, Elyse of Texas, and McKinley and Michael of Norwalk; a great-grandchild, Vinny of Texas; a brother, Joseph and his wife Mary of Stamford; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Anthony.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Church, 84 Sherwood Ave. in Greenwich, with burial following at the St. Mary's Cemetery, 35 Parsonage Road in Greenwich.
The Gallagher Funeral Home in Greenwich is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenwich Boy Scout Council, 63 Mason St., Greenwich, CT 06830; or to the Yankee Council.
