Courtesy of Gunn Memorial Museum
The days of steamboat travel for leisure reasons are long gone but not forgotten thanks to photographs such as this one on display as part of a Lake Waramaug retrospective at the Gunn Memorial Museum in Washington. Here, the steamboat Crescent docks during one of its casual tours of the lake, circa late 19th or early 20th century. Those who would like to loan or contribute a photo from any of the Greater New Milford-area towns should bring it to Norm Cummings at the Greater New Milford Spectrum office at 45B Main St. If the photo is to be returned, please leave a phone number and mailing address.
