Firefighters rescue cat from house fire
Residents of the two-story colonial were home eating dinner when the fire was discovered, said Chief Emmons, chief of Water Witch Hose Co. No. 2.
A 911 call was made April 8 about 6:45 p.m. Firefighters fought through heavy smoke on the second floor to extinguish the fire and find the family cat, which they rescued, the chief said.
The house is listed on Vision Appraisal as being owned by Alan P. Whelan.
