FineLine Theater Arts in New Milford will hold its grand opening Sunday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at its new location on Railroad Street.

The open house will coincide with the New Milford Harvest Festival, sponsored by the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce, on Bank Street and in and around the village center.

FineLine was one of the original organizers and supporters of the festival.

The open house will feature mini classes, performances, tours of the building and a scholarship fund tag sale.

Scott Wise and Elizabeth Parkinson, owners and directors of the downtown performing arts school, recently purchased and fully renovated the white clapboard circa 1880 building that had most recently been home to Connecticut Memories.

The school currently operate two spaces -- 66 Railroad St. and 77 Railroad St.

FineLine will hold a tag sale to benefit the school's scholarship fund from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 66 Railroad St.

Offerings at the new space at 77 Railroad St. will include an acro demonstration and class for those aged 5-6 with Scott Wise from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; an acro demonstration and class for ages 7 and older with Wise from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; Little Stars and a vocal performance presentation at noon; and Little Stars for ages 5-6 with Leland Williams from 1:30 to 2 p.m.

Also, ballet and tap for ages 5-6 with Parkinson and Wise (no special shoes required) from 2 to 2:30 p.m.; a Spot Light Theater class for ages 7-9 with Williams from 2:30 to 3 p.m.; and ballet and tap for ages 7-9 with Parkinson and Wise (no special shoes required) from 3 to 3:30 p.m.

Also scheduled are a Center Stage Musical Theatre event for ages 10-13 with Williams from 3:30 to 4 p.m.; tap for ages 10 and older with Wise from 4 to 4:30 p.m. (no special shoes required); a teen improv for ages 14 and older with Williams from 4:3o to 5 p.m.; a dance performance featuring Artists In Motion and FineLine yuong choreographers at 5 .m.
