A Nov. 21 concert benefiting the state chapter of the Alzheimer's Association will be hosted by New Morning Market in Woodbury.
"An Evening with Jim Filgate & Friends" will feature a retrospective of songs and artists that have influenced Filgate's musical career, including the Beatles, the Byrds, James Taylor, Crosby Stills & Nash, the Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel.
Filgate, a Woodbury resident, is best known for portraying George Harrison in the Beatles tribute band, The Cast of Beatlemania.
"This is a special evening for me as it, in part, pays tribute to my father-in-law, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease," said Filgate. "It's heart wrenching for any family to watch their loved one be taken from them by this disease and imperative that we continue to raise funds to support research help find a cure."
The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with wine and hors d'oeuvres, followed by a 7:30 p.m. performance at the Community Room at New Morning Market, 129 Main Street North in Woodbury.
