The Farmer's Table, a farm-to-table dinner for 120 diners, will be held July 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Sullivan Farm at 140 Park Lane (Route 202) in New Milford.

The three-course, sit-down dinner will afford guests a chance to meet Sullivan Farm's new farm manager-educator Joe Listro and to sample local produce grown by Sullivan Farm's youth and other area farms.

The Farmer's Table was founded last summer by New Preston-based Smithy owners Howard Rosenfeld and his wife Sheryl Leach, advocates of locally grown produce and products.

"The idea is having area fans of locally grown and the farmers who grow it sit down together at a wonderful dinner that really reinforces our sense of community," Ms. Leach said.

"We hope that every year, The Farmer's Table will be held in a different Litchfield County community," said Mr. Rosenfeld.

An active member of Friends of Sullivan Farm's Advisory Board, he proposed that the dinner be held this summer at New Milford's Sullivan Farm.

The Farmer's Table organizing group includes Friends of Sullivan Farm board members Lisa Agee, Julie Bailey and Katy Francis and volunteers Saun Ellis and Charmaine Wood, all of New Milford, Cynthia Oneglia of Washington, Carolina Reid of Roxbury Mr. Rosenfield and Ms. Leach, and Ronnie Maddalena of Warren.

Tickets are $85. Checks made payable to Friends of Sullivan Farm should be mailed to P.O. Box 1197, New Milford, CT 06776.

Receipt of checks will reserve a place; seats are on first-come, first-served basis only until 105 seats are filled.
