Family picnic set in Washington
The Village Improvement Society of Washington will hold its 85th annual family picnic June 14 at 6 p.m.
The event, open to all Washington residents, will be held rain or shine at the River Walk Pavilion next to Washington Primary School on School Street.
Food and beverages will be provided.
The Village Improvement Society was initially established by the late Ehrick Rossiter with its first board of directors formally organized in 1928.
The mission remains the same today: to support various projects and programs throughout the town with the sole interest of making Washington an even better place to live.
