Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will open an exhibit and sale, “An Expression of Spirit: Three Generations,” with a reception and gallery talk June 10 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The exhibit and sale will feature paintings, drawings and mixed media compositions by Philip de Vries, his father and grandfather.

The show and sale will run through July 22.

The de Vries exhibit traces the talent of three generations of a single family: Philip de Vries’s father, Nicholas, studied architecture and became a prominent furniture designer and painter and Philip’s grandfather, Herman, was a nationally recognized furniture designer who also painted landscapes while he traveled in Europe, Mexico and the U.S.

The show may be seen Mondays from noon to 7 p.m., Wednesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursdays from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
