Three events to benefit Lance Cpl. John G. Curtin of the United States Marines, nephew of Pat Dzamko of New Milford, will be held in the coming weeks.

Lance Cpl. Curtin was critically injured Feb. 15, by an improvised explosive device, sustaining the loss of both legs above the knees and injuries to both arms.

He had been on active duty since October 2009, having been deployed to Afghanistan Jan. 24 of this year. Offerings will include a spaghetti dinner March 19. Seatings will atke pplace from 5 to 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Wingdale American Legion Hall, State Road, Wingdale, N.Y.; a dodge ball game March 24 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Dover Middle School, Route 22, Dover, N.Y.; and an event featuring food and music by a band March 26 at 7 p.m. at the VFW, 9257 Fairfield Drive, Putnam Lake, N.Y. The prices are $10 per person for the dinner, $5 per person for the dodge ball game and $20 for the March 26 activities.
