Events on tap at Burnham Library

Burnham Library on Main Street in Bridgewater will offer a variety of programs in the coming days.

The Friends of the Library will meet March 11 and April 8 at 7 p.m.

The library's book group will meet to discuss "Independence Day" by Richard Ford Feb. 24, "Outliers" by Malcolm Gladwell March 17 and "The Round House" by Louise Erdrich April 21.

The group will meet at 7 p.m.

Copies of the book are generally available for loan at the library.

Patricia Carr will present a program, "Corsets and Crinolines," May 9 at 7 p.m.

The program is sponsored by the Friends of Burnham Library.

In addition, a variety of children's activities will be offered.

After-school activities will include Dangerous Club for Boys for students in grades 2-5 March 12, April 9 and May 14 from 3:15 to 4 p.m.; a Brown Bag Book Club for students in kindergarten and first grade March 13, April 10 and May 15 from 3:15 to 4 p.m.; and Art in a Book for students in grades 2-5 Feb. 18, March 18, April 29 and May 20 from 3:15 to 4 p.m.

Also, Science Explorers for students in grades 2-5 Feb. 26, March 26, April 23 and May 28 from 3:15 to 4 p.m.; a Lego My Library group for students in grades K-6 March 5, April 2 and May 7 from 3:15 to 4 p.m.; and a dance camp for students in K-5 Thursdays through May from 3:15 to 4 p.m.
