The Smithy Store in New Preston will hold a local maker’s market Dec. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. on the second floor of the store.

The holiday market will coincide with the New Preston Winter Stroll, where the village businesses celebrate the season serving special holiday treats for shoppers and visitors stroll the town, and browse boutiques and shops.

The pop-up market celebrates holiday gift giving, featuring local artisans and their unique, handcrafted products.

Hand-crafted items including jewelry, woven goods, soaps, candles, reclaimed wood ornaments and decorations, leather goods, and other items created by Connecticut artisans.

Featured artists will include Allegra Jewelry & Pashmina, Amy Brenner Pottery, Barron VonBerg Industrial, Olive My Skin, Emeny Leather, Woven Together and Steinen Jewelry Designs and Henna Art by Elyse.

In addition, original paintings by Redding artist Erin Nazzaro will be on display, and on the lower level of the store, fine art photography by Judith Secco of Bantam will be shown.
