A fundraiser for Lynnia Milliun will be held Oct. 15 at 6 p.m. at The Silo at Hunt Hill Farm in the Northville section of New Milford.

Lynnia, who has recently diagnosed with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and her twin sister, Leslie, grew up in Woodbury.

Lynnia, a very well-known chef in the Litchfield Hills, who studied at the Culinary Institute of America and worked at the Wykeham Rise School and Chez Panisse in California, and as chef at the original Mary Dugan’s in New Milford and the original Doc’s in New Preston.

The fundraiser, to be held at 44 Upland Road, will feature food and drinks from many regional chefs and Lynnia’s colleagues, a silent auction and a live auction.

Washington’s poet latureate, Davyne Verstandig, will be the guest auctioneer for the live auction.

Music will be provided by Doug White on saxophone and Barry Blitt on keyboard, and Ghosts of the Valley, which is comprised of Geoff Cersoli, Devin Morgan, Garth Pollock and Ben Tomczak.

The cost is $40 per person. A table for six will cost $325 and include special surprises.
