Evening of poetry, music set in Kent
In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, Kent Memorial Library and Karen Chase will play host to an evening of poetry and music April 2 in Kent.
The event, which will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Main Street library, will be offered in conjunction with Chase’s photography exhibit “Natural Touch” on view at the library.
The program to date includes Blues guitarist Hugh Hill.
Chase will read some of her poetry, including her poem “FAMINE: Ireland 1845-49.”
Anyone who is interested in playing or reading their own or a favorite poem is welcome.
Refreshments will be served.
