Evelyn (Borchardt) Field, 98, died peacefully Nov. 28, 2010, at Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center, New Milford, after five years of care and concern at the center.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and then lived in Manhattan and Florida, and the last 15 years in New Milford.
Her artistic talent manifested itself in oil paintings and sculptures. She enjoyed a full, happy life with humor and concern for others.
She enjoyed every moment with the nurses and attendants at the Candlewood Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Field is survived by a daughter, Patricia, and son-in-law, David Sawyer, of Sherman; five grandchildren, Wayne, Jeff, Michael, Andrew, and his wife, Karin Sawyer and Robin Stearman; and eight great-grandchildren, Scott, Jennifer, Jordan, Daniela, Samantha, Eliana, Erik and Sarah. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph.
Services were private.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
