Eugene P. Bordinger Sr., 65, a resident of Palm Coast, Fla., for the past 22 years, died unexpectedly, Oct. 6, 2009, at his residence. He had been a New Milford resident before moving to Florida.

Mr. Bordinger was born April 29, 1944, in Oneonta N.Y., son of the late Frank and Marjorie Preston Bordinger.

Mr. Bordinger was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and enjoyed fishing and watching his grandchildren play sports.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dolly (Turner) Bordinger; a son, Eugene P. Bordinger Jr., and his wife, Danielle Crosby; a daughter, Tita J. Bordinger-Herron and her husband, Peter A. Herron; a daughter-in-law, Casandra E. Bordinger-Steele; six grandchildren, Dylan Crosby Bordinger, Marin Noelle Bordinger, Philip H. Bordinger Jr., Jazimne T. Bordinger, Amber "Logan" Bordinger and Skylar J. Bordinger; a sister, Joanne White; and several cousins. He was predeceased by a son, Philip Howard Bordinger Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Bordinger will be held today (Friday) at 11 a.m. in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Fla., where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church Building Fund, 5400 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32136 or the charity of one's choice.
