Eric M. Langlois, 33, of New Milford, died June 18 in Bridgewater. He was the husband of Amber Westlake Langlois.

He was born Feb. 4, 1980, in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, the son of Denis Langlois and the late Diane Poulin Langlois.

He graduated from Brookfield High School and received a bachelor of science degree from Southern Connecticut State University.

He married Amber Westlake on April 30, 2004. They settled in New Milford five years ago, moving from Woodbury.

He was passionate and creative, enjoying photography, teaching, mountain biking and snow boarding. He was a successful photographer, and the owner of his own studio, Raw Photo Design. He was also an active member of the Hartford Pictage User Group.

His passion was his family, as a husband, father, son and brother, and uncle to his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Amber, and father, he is survived by a son, Ryder; a daughter, Avery; a brother, Steve Langlois; a sister-in-law, Stacey Palancia, and her husband, Tom; his mother- and father-in-law, Tom and Thelma Westlake; his grandparents, Therese and Ovide Poulin; a nephew and niece, Curran and Erin Palancia; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, colleagues and fellow photographers. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his grandparents, Roger and Blanche Langlois.

Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford was in charge of the arrangements. Interment will be private.
