New Milford Public Library will offer an evening of holiday music with Entwyned Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Entwyned is a group of three professionally trained musicians who specialize in music from about 1600 through 1750, played on reproduction historical instruments with an accompanying guest vocalist.

The musicians are Dee Hansen on the Baroque and Renaissance flute, who is a professor of music education at The Hartt School, the University of Hartford; Neal Humphreys on the viola da gamba and cello, who graduated from The Hartt School, University of Hartford with his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in cello performance, with an emphasis in chamber music; and Eric Hansen on the lute, who has performed as a professional bassist and lutenist in concerts and on recordings with nationally known musicians.

In addition to his work with Entwyned Early Music, Eric continues to perform on the lute as a member of the Lute Society of America, Amherst Early Music, and Early Music America.

The program is made possible through the FRIENDS of New Milford Library.
