The house was occupied when the blaze broke out but no one was injured, Fire Chief Glenn Martone said.

The fire was reported about 7 a.m., and firefighters had it under control in about 20 minutes.

The family room of the house, where the fire originated, sustained fire damage, while the rest of the residence was damaged by smoke, Martone said.

The names of the people living at the house weren't available Thursday.
