Edward Van Wattum, 73, loved golf, fishing
He was born May 31, 1940, the son of Erna and John Van Wattum, in Indonesia. He was of Dutch descent. He moved to the United States in 1962.
He was a master pressman, and owned his own company, the Western Connecticut Litho, for more than 25 years.
His pastimes included golf, deep sea fishing, trips to Maine and a love for reading. He will be remembered for his bright smile, sense of humor and the ability to see the silver lining in everything.
In addition to his wife, Linda, he is survived by four children, James, Jacqueline, John and Vincent; his sister, Frances; grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by both his parents, and a brother, Robert.
The Green Funeral Home in Danbury was in charge of the arrangements.
