Edward Hill, 72, had worked in schools

He was born Jan. 31, 1941, in New Milford, son of the late George and Dorothy Hill.
He was employed by the New Milford school system for 35 years as a custodian, retiring in 2003.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Susan Teixeira, and her husband, Val, of Danbury, and Donna Hill, of Danbury; three brothers, Robert Hill, Roger Hill and Ernest Hill; four sisters, Dorothy Johnson, Sheila Carlson, June Box and Shirley Thompson; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to gather Aug. 3 from noon to 3 p.m. in the community room at Butter Brook Hill Apartments off Hillside Avenue in New Milford.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
