Edward Ganly Jr., 52, had family in New Milford
He was born March 26, 1956, in Boston, the son of Edward R. Ganly Sr. and Virginia (Anderson) Ganly.
He was a graduate of Danbury High School, served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 1980 on the nuclear submarine Lapon.
He was a machinist supervisor at the Federal Correctional Institute in Danbury for 22 years, a mentor at the Morris Street School and a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Sokol Lodge # 30.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kristie (Fusek) Ganly of Danbury; two daughters, Chelsea and Mallory,; a brother, Brian Ganly of Florida; and his dog, Logan.
Besides his parents, he also is survived by his mother-in-law, Christine Fusek; a brother-in-law, Rick Fusek and his wife Peggy of New Milford; and several nieces.
