Several places of worship and organizations in the Greater New Milford area will offer Easter-related activities in the coming days.

The New Milford Parks & Recreation Department will host its Easter egg hunt March 19 from 10 to 10:30 a.m.

at Schaghticoke Middle School’s upper baseball field, on the curving driveway, on Hipp Road.

A rain/snow date of March 20 from 3 to 3:30 p.m. is planned.

The First Congregational Church in New Milford will conduct a Palm Sunday worship March 20 at 10 a.m.; a Maundy Thursday service, featuring the senior choir, March 24 at 7:30 p.m.; egg dyeing (bring your own eggs) and a screening of “HOP” in Fellowship Hall March 25 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an Easter service March 27 at 10 a.m.

The church is at 36 Main St.

Sherman Congregational Church will offer a Maundy Thursday service March 24 at 7:30 p.m.; a Good Friday service March 25 at 7:30 p.m.; an Easter sunrise service at Sherman Town Beach March 27 at 6:30 a.m. and an Easter service March 27 at 10 a.m.

All events, except the sunrise service, will be held at the 6 Church Road church.

A Good Friday ecumenical service will take place on the Village Green in New Milford March 25 at noon.

Roxbury Congregational Church will offer a potluck dinner and a service of Tenebrae and communion and special music on Maundy Thursday, March 24, at 6 p.m. and a traditional Easter family worship service with special music and a children’s sermon on Easter, March 27, at 10 a.m.

An outdoor sunrise service will take place on Easter, March 27, at 6:30 a.m. at Good Hill Road, near Upper Grassy Hill Road on the Woodbury town line, followed by a 7 a.m. breakfast at the 24 Church St. church.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Washington will offer a Mass of the Lord’s Supper March 24 at 7 p.m.; confessions March 25 from 10 to 11 a.m., the Passion of the Lord at 3 p.m. and the Stations of the Cross at 7 p.m.; a blessing of the food March 26 at 10 a.m., confessions at 11 a.m. and an Easter vigil Mass at 7 p.m.; and Easter Mass March 27 at 10:30 a.m.

The church is at 34 Green Hill Road.

Easter Mass will take place March 27 at 8:30 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, 25 Church St., in Roxbury.

The Glenholme School in Washington will host its annual spring egg hunt March 26 at 11 a.m.

Each year since 1995, the students involved in The Glenholme School’s community service program and the Glenholme LEO club have organized this community event.

Offerings at the 81 Sabbaday Lane school will include an egg and candy hunt, visits with the Glenholme Hare, face painting, refreshments and more.

Participants are asked to bring a canned food item to be donated to an area food bank.
