Dr. Estupinan honored at hospital

He was selected with recommendations of the hospital's Planetree Steering Council and nursing leadership.
Sixty nominations were received for 14 different physicians.
"Dr. Estupinan's sets such a good example for his colleagues and this institution," stated Ms. Carol O'Dowd in her nomination.
"He is always kind and treats every situation with care," she added.
Nominees also included Dr. Alphonse Altorelli; Dr. Peter Anderson; Dr. Olugbenga Arole; Dr. Joseph Bargellini; Dr. Frederick Browne; Dr. Courtney Chambers; Dr. Anna Chiang; Dr. Edith Chu; Dr. Brian Connolly; Dr. Andrew Crowley; Dr. Frank Fanella; Dr. John Keggi; and Dr. Prashant Rodrigues.
Dr. Estupinan was selected as the medical staff member who best personifies the hospital's core values and the spirit of Planetree, reported a hospital release.
He had an internal medicine residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York city prior to becoming a part of the New Milford Hospital staff in 2008 as a specialist in inpatient medicine.
A group of 20 staff members offered a statement saying "good doctors should be nurtured. Dr. Estupinan is not only a good doctor with skills, knowledge and empathy, but also has the right attitude."
"He obviously likes people and genuinely wants to help them," the statement concluded. "He always makes the extra effort to care for his patients."
