Dorothy Virginia (Miller) Johannessen, 84, died April 14 with her family by her side.
Mrs. Johannessen was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Volley V. and Irene Miller.
She earned a master of science degree from the College of New Rochelle.
Mrs. Johannessen was a retired librarian, having been employed by the Greenwich Library.
"DJ" loved traveling and boating with her family.
Mrs. Johannessen is survived by her husband of 59 years, Paul D. Johannessen, of Port Chester N.Y.; two sons, Peter D. Johannessen, of Arizona, and John D. Johannessen, and his wife, Susan, of New Milford; three grandchildren, Heather Croll, of Bridgeport, James Johannessen, of Southbury, and Rachael Johannessen, of New Milford; many great-grandchildren; and a stepsister, Lucille Jackson, of New York City.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
