Dorothy Camp, 93, had lived in Bridgewater

Dorothy L. (Ingalls) Camp, 93, of New London, N.H., formerly of Bridgewater, died Jan. 22, 2009, at The Clough Center in New Hampshire.

She was born March 6, 1915, in Kearny, N.J., daughter of the late
Will C . and Florence E. (Miller) Ingalls.

A 1931 graduate of Canaan High School , further studies were made at Danbury Normal School . She was employed as a teacher in the Bridgewater public school system. She was also employed as an office administrator in medical offices in New Milford from 1955 to 1972.

On July 20, 1938, in North Canaan, she was married to Ralph F. Camp
of Bridgewater. Residing in Bridgewater for 24 years, she was active in the town's historical society where she made major contributions to the book, "Landmarks of Bridgewater." She was also active in the First Congregational Church in Bridgewater and later in Kent.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Leora E. Roberts of Reading, Mass., in 2003. Survivors include her husband of 70 years, Ralph F. Camp of New London, N.H.; a daughter, Valerie A. Kenniston of Herkimer, N.Y.; four grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment is planned for this spring in Bridgewater, with burial in South Cemetery.
