Doris F. Melosh, 82, of New Milford, wife of the late Edward Melosh, died May 21, 2010, at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Melosh was born Oct. 29, 1927, in Rockville Centre, N.Y., daughter of the late Jerome and Ruth (Feist) Eschwege.

She worked for many years at Strykers in Bethel, and later in customer service for Grolier, retiring at age 63. Upon retirement, she enjoyed volunteering in the gift shop at New Milford Hospital.

She was also a member of AARP #3241 in New Milford and attended the senior center.

She will be missed by a daughter, Nancy J. Miller, and her husband, John, with whom she made her home; two granddaughters, Kristy Miller-Spaulding, and her husband, Richard, of Thomaston, and Stacey A. Miller, of Danbury; a brother, Arnold Eschwege, and his wife, Rhoda.

Mrs. Melosh is also survived by a cousin, Lee Feist, and his wife, Addie; three nieces; and friends Noreen Soltes, Charlene McNiff and Ruth Gottlieb; as well as many other friends.

In addition to her second husband, Edward, she was predeceased by her first husband, Seymour Jarmofsky; and a sister, Leone Wildhagen.

The Brookfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
