Doris Elizabeth Hample, 84, of Danbury, died June 25 at Danbury Hospital.

Mrs. Hample was born Feb. 18, 1928, in Danbury, daughter of the late Frederick and Dorothy (Barber) Straiton.

A lifelong Danbury resident, she worked as a lab technician at Danbury Hospital. She greatly enjoyed being with her loving family.

Mrs. Hample is survived by a son, David Hample, and his wife, Holly; a daughter, Doris Parker, and her husband, Piete, of Gaylordsville; four grandchildren, Melissa Ford, and her husband, George; Jessica Adams, and her husband, John; Walter Lemet, and his wife, Jennifer; and David Lemet; five great-grandchildren, Michael, McKayla, Isabella, Kendrick, and Coltan; and a daughter-in-law, Patricia Hample.

She was predeceased by a son, George Hample, and a grandson, David Joseph Moore.

A funeral service will take place today (Friday) at 11:30 a.m. at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White St., Danbury. Interment at Wooster Cemetery in Danbury will follow.
