Donald G. Flye, 76, died Sept. 27, 2012. He was the husband of Donna (Andrews) Flye.

He was born Nov. 17, 1935, in Danbury, son of the late James and Jane (Dibble) Flye. He attended Danbury Schools and graduated from Danbury High School in 1955.

A Navy veteran, Mr. Flye served from 1955-59.

He was employed at Sperry Rail Service for 30 years, Just Ask Rental and Southworth, both in in New Milford.

Mr. Flye was quick to help others and was always willing to share his life's stories with those around him.

He faithfully attended the First Assembly of God in New Milford, and accepted the Lord as his Savior on April 20, 1997.

Mr. Flye was an avid fisherman and multi-talented craftsman.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Flye and Elizabeth (Flye) Lussier and her husband, Matthew, and a brother, James Flye, of Middletown Springs, Vt. He was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and George Flye, and two sisters, Evelyn Flye and Sandi (Flye) Grippin.

The Brookfield Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
