Donald (Don) A. Archambault, 69, a longtime resident of Brookfield, died Nov. 14, 2008, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Mr. Archambault was born Aug. 22, 1939, in Bridgeport, son of the late Albert and Freda (Hultgren) Archambault.

After a brief time in the Navy, he began his career as a tool maker, working with his family at Model Tool in Bridgeport. He retired from Medsource (Tenax) in Danbury.

Mr. Archambault enjoyed photography, kayaking and spending time with his family and friends. He had been a volunteer at Danbury Hospital and taught English as a second language.

He loved spending time on Cape Cod visiting his parents and children.

Mr. Archambault is survived by his children, Randall Archambault and his wife, Johanna, of South Yarmouth, Mass.,
Holly Bresson and her husband, Jeffrey, of Roxbury and Susan Ready of Centerville, Mass.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kira and Miah of South Yarmouth; Travis, Kayley, and Lauren of Roxbury; and William and John of Centerville, Mass. He is also survived by a sister, Virginia Erickson of Centerville, Mass.

A gathering of friends and relatives will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. in Danbury, tomorrow (Saturday) from noon to 2 p.m.

Cremation took place at the direction of the family.
