The Jewish Community Center in Sherman will present a dinner theater featuring a performance of “The Dinner Party” May 19 at 7 p.m.

The play will be accompanied by a three-course French-themed meal that will include light appetizers, salad, chicken in French sauce, asparagus, fingerling potatoes and a dessert. Guests may bring beverages.

In honor of longtime JCCS supporters Ruth and Bernad Hoberman, Sherman IGA will provide the food.

The show is about a decidedly French dinner party served up in a chaotic mode that only a master of comedy could create.

Five people are invited to dine at a first rate restaurant in Paris. They do not know who the other guests will be or why they have been invited.

Tossed together in a private dining room, they have a sneaking suspicion that this unorthodox dinner party will forever change their lives.

The production, directed by Sherman Playhouse President Robin Frome, will feature Missy Hanlon as Yvonne Fuchet, Susan as Mariette Levieux, Brian De Toma as Andre Bouville, Jim Dietter as Claude Bichon, Stacy Snyder as Gabrielle Buonacelli and Dean as Albert Donay.

The cost is $40 per person.
