Defensive driving golf to benefit Shepaug strudents

The sixth annual Shepaug Valley High School defensive driving benefit scramble golf tournament will be held May 10 with a 9:30 a.m. tee time at the Club at River Oaks in Sherman.
The event is directed by Shepaug student Cory Soetbeer as his senior project.
Cost for entry will be $125.
Proceeds will benefit the school's safe-driving program for its juniors at the Skip Barber Driving School.
Entries may be returned by May 3 with checks payable SVHS Fund for $500 for a foursome or a $300 deposit to Shepaug Valley High School, c/o Cory Soetbeer, 189 South St., Washington, CT 06793.
