David A. Birdsall, 48, of Woodbury, died Feb. 11, 2011, at his home.

Mr. Birdsall was born in Waterbury Nov. 2, 1962, son of David C. and Margaret "Peggy" (Curtiss) Birdsall, of Woodbury.

He was a lifelong resident of Woodbury and attended Nonnewaug High School. Mr. Birdsall was the owner and operator of Clyde's Professional Services in Woodbury.

He enjoyed fishing, especially deep sea fishing, and spending time at home with family, especially his beloved dog, BJ, and his cat, Mr. Tweeter.

Mr. Birdsall is survived by his parents; a daughter, Katherine M. Birdsall, of New Milford; two sisters, Nancy Perrett and her husband, Kevin, of Powell, Wyo., and Kathleen Birdsall of Tappahannock, Va.; a maternal grandmother, Mary Curtiss, of Watertown; his uncles and aunts, Donald Curtiss and his wife, Anne Marie, Warren Birdsall and his wife, Bobby, Kathy Rassmussen and her husband, Eddy, and Jane Brousseau, all of Watertown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
