The Roger Sherman Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Charles Merriman Society, Children of the American Revolution will hold a Blue Star Mother's benefit dinner Nov. 11 at 6 p.m.

The buffet dinner will take place at Holiday Restaurant in Veterans Plaza on Route 7 North.

Following the dinner, Damien Cregeau will reenact and speak on "The Life of the Foot Soldier."

Cregeau is an historical and educational consultant and member of the 5th Connecticut Regiment Revolutionary War Reenactment Group. He frequently speaks to schools and civic organizations regarding the Revolutionary era.

He is a descendant of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deming.

This benefit will support the objectives of the Blue Star Mothers of Connecticut who have a son or daughter serving or who served in our military.

Blue Star Mothers are invited to attend this event free of charge.

The cost for dinner and program is $25, with all proceeds and donations to support the mission of the Blue Star Mothers.
