Cynthia Belansky, 62, had worked at Barden
She was born in Danbury Aug. 12, 1947, daughter of the late Charles F. and Fayoline M. (McKay) Pomeroy.
Mrs. Belansky was a graduate of Danbury High School, Class of 1965, and had worked as a group leader for 23 years at Barden Corporation.
She was a member of the Ladies Emblem Club at the Danbury Elks Lodge.
Mrs. Belansky was known for her baking, cooking and cake decorating skills, and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her cats, Merlin and Missy.
In addition to her husband of 38 years, Mrs. Belansky is survived by her six children, Jill Elko, and her husband, Marc, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Andrew Belansky, of New Milford, William Belansky Jr., and his wife, Loreen, of Bear Valley Springs, Calif., Gregory Belansky, and his companion, Lisa Kelly, of San Diego, Calif., Donnie Belansky, and his wife, Debbie, of Aqua Dulce, Calif., and Susan Belansky of Phoenix, Ariz.; 11 grandchildren, Ryan and Justin Elko, Brandon and Brittnie Belansky, Shawn and Tim Doyle, William, Emilie and Chloie Belansky, Paul Sumner and Cruz Lopez; two brothers, Charles F. Pomeroy II, and his wife, Sylvia, of Brookfield, Larry Pomeroy, and his wife, Elizabeth, of Autryville; two sisters, Diane Joy Pomeroy, and her fiance, Mark Parker, of Sanford, N.C., and Susan Pomeroy, and her companion, Jody Freelove, of Brookfield; a sister-in-law, Kate (Pomeroy) Zucca, of Bridgewater; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother,Terry Pomeroy, and a daughter, Debbie Belansky.
Burial will be held in Brookfield this spring.
