The Community Culinary School of Northwestern Connecticut in New Milford will hold its annual gala March 19.

Festivities will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Whittlesey Avenue.

The school was established in 2007 to provide unemployed and underemployed men and women 18 and older with the skills they need to find jobs with career paths in the food service industry.

Instructed by Chef Blythe Roberts, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, students learn a range of cooking techniques in a full-scale kitchen.

Tuition is free for qualifying candidates.
