The Burnham Library in Bridgewater will open "Creative Realism: Selected Works by the Students of Edward Spaulding DeVoe" with a reception June 1 from 3 to 5 p.m.

DeVoe, a longtime Bridgewater resident and acclaimed oil painted, will present a lecture on creative realism, "The Minotaur in the Labyrinth: The Artist on Art," June 20 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Main Street library.

The show will run through the end of July.

The exhibit will feature works by Phyllis Behar, Sara Bowman, Cici Cunningham, Kristine Dyson, Jan Hiltz, Katie Re Scheidt, Cheryl Wassberg, Edward Muszala, Catherine Natale, Joyce Rannestadt, Debra Woodin and Ilene Leff.
