The Sherman Commission on Aging and the Sherman Parent Teacher Organization will co-sponsor a workshop, "Difficult Conversations, Touchy Subjects," May 21 from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Sherman.

The workshop is open to people of all ages and life stages, with the goal of facilitating conversation and avoiding relationship breakdowns when it comes to having difficult conversations with loved ones.

Dr. Daniel Joynt of Western Connecticut State University in Danbury will be the guest speaker, offering practical tips and concrete skills at the workshop to be held at Sherman School, 2 Route 37 East.

Dr. Joynt, professor emeritus, has been the coordinator of the WCSU Community Mental Health Counseling Program and the WCSU Center for Collaboration, Conflict Resolution and Leadership and is an expert in counseling and mediation.
