The Merryall Center for the Arts in New Milford will open its expanded 66th season May 6 at 8 p.m. with a concert with the 17-piece Berkshire Jazz Orchestra.

Led by Chip Zellner and featuring vocalist Jan Maki, the 17-piece group is composed of music professionals, educators and music students.

Weather permitting, the deck, overlooking the West Aspetuck River, will open for picnics at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $20, a 20 percent reduction from last year. A season subscription is $160, which includes 10 regular performances, and a partial season subscription is $90, which includes five regular performances.

The center is located on Chapel Hill Road.
