The Edwin Kinkade Concert on the Green Series, organized by the New Milford Commission on the Arts, will kick off Aug. 6.

Concerts will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the bandstand on the Village Green.

The lineup will include Roadside Attraction, a mostly Americana and country music band that will perform a variety of songs, Aug. 6 (; Superhero, a popular, professional high energy rock band based out of Greater New York that specializes in the music of the 1980s, 1990s and modern pop songs, Aug. 13 ( Sounds of Afrika, led by New Milford High School alumni and former resident Kojo Bey, will present a repertoire from the African Diaspora using traditional instruments from West Africa, and will feature African dance, drumming and songs, Aug. 20 (; and Songhorse, a local band featuring Chuck Cunardi and Felicia Michael, with special guest Chris Ellis, who will perform rock and roll, country and standards from the 1950s through today, Aug. 27.

The public is invited to bring lawns chairs and/or blankets.
