Community Culinary School seeks students
Tuition is free for qualifying candidates, who must be at least 18 years old.
The Culinary School was established in 2007 to provide people who are unemployed or underemployed men and women the skills they need to find jobs in the food service industry.
Besides 12 weeks of hands-on cooking instruction by chef Blythe Roberts -- a graduate of the French Culinary Institute -- the school teaches skills necessary to get and keep a job, arranges internships, and helps with job placement.
Classes are Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church on the Green , 7 Whittlesey Ave. Those interested should call Dawn Hammacott at (203) 512-5791 or e-mail her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
