Several churches in the area will hold Christmas services in the coming days.

The First Congregational Church on Route 7 North in Kent will hold several services in the coming days.

They will include a family service Dec. 23 at 10 a.m.; and a Christmas Eve service of lessons and carols Christmas Eve at 9 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran Church on Route 7 North in New Milford will hold a Fourth Sunday in Advent Holy Eucharist Dec. 23 at 10:30 a.m.; a Christmas Eve candlelight service Christmas Eve at 7 p.m.; a Christmas Day Eucharist at 10 a.m.; and a holy family/New Year’s Eucharist Dec. 30 at 10:30 a.m.

Merryall Chapel on Chapel Hill Road will hold a Christmas Eve service with the Rev. Paul Hibbard, chaplain at Waterbury Hospital, at 9 p.m.

Sherman Congregational Church at 6 Church Road will hold a Christmas Eve services Dec. 24, with a family celebration Christmas service at 7:30 p.m. and a traditional service of lessons and carols, followed by the candlelight singing of “Silent Night” outside, weather permitting, at 10 p.m.

The First Apostolic Gathering of New Milford Inc. will offer an early Christmas Eve worship Dec. 23 at 11 a.m. and a New Year’s Eve Watch Night service Dec. 31 from 10 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. at 25 Church St.

New Milford Assembly of God at 47 Park Lane Road in New Milford will hold a Christmas Eve service, including carols, candles and cocoa, Dec. 24 from 6 to 7 p.m.
