The Bridgewater Congregational Church will host its annual fair-trade store Thanksgiving through Christmas.
Handcrafted items provided by more than a dozen developing nations will be featured from organizations such as Ten Thousand Villages, small cooperatives in Kenya and SERRV.
Items will include jewelry and accessories, housewares, cultural home accents, musical instruments, children’s gifts and toys, and Christmas decorations and ornaments.
In addition to global handcrafts, the store will feature the sale of hand-knit and hand-sewn items, pressed flower cards, ornaments, seasonal decorations and baked goods made in Bridgewater.
A month-long silent auction will also be held.
Once registered, bidders may update their bids by email.
Fraser fir Christmas trees are also available for purchase.
One dollar per tree will be donated to Community Caring in Bridgewater Energy Assistance Fund for Seniors.
Patrons may shop at the store or purchase trees at the Clapboard Road church Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with extended hours Nov. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Dec. 2 from 4 to 9 p.m.
