Cristine Ann Kalliomaki, 51, of New Milford, died July 4 in New Haven.

She was born April 21, 1962, in the Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Leo Caldera and Connie DeSantis.

She was known to be a beautiful person both inside and out. She loved animals and donated faithfully to the Animal Welfare Society. She was a generous, hard-working and kindhearted person.

She loved dancing, decorating homes, and doing make-up and hair. She graduated from the Paul Mitchell School in 2008.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Jamie Kalliomaki, of New Milford; a brother, Frank Caldera, and his wife, Ruth, of Sebastian, Fla.; her stepfather, Pino DeSantis, of Vero Beach, Fla.; and her daughter's father, Paul Kalliomaki, of the Bronx; and many other family members and friends.

A Mass will be celebrated July 12 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Church, 26 Chestnutland Road, New Milford.

The Lillis Funeral Home in New Milford is in charge of arrangements.
