Chess national master to give program
Finneran, 19, is a former Connecticut middle school and multiple Connecticut high school state Chess champion.
He is ranked as a national master, which is the highest U.S. rank in Chess.
Finneran will perform a "simultaneous play," where he will play as many people who want to play against him all at the same time, followed by a demonstration of some of his top games against grand masters and masters.
He will conclude his program by playing blindfolded against the center’s students.
The program at the center, located at Sherman Commons, Suite 2B on Route 37 across from Sherman School, is open to the public.
