Charles D."Don" Lane Jr., 67, formerly of Danbury, died April 17 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport.

He was born Oct. 12, 1945, in Danbury, son of the late Charles Lane Sr. and his wife Josephine (Capalongo). He was a lifelong Danbury resident.

He founded and operated D&L Tractor Trailer School in Bridgeport for several years.

He most loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also had a passion for boating, motorcycling and dogs.

He is survived by his children, Donny Lane, of Andover, Mass.; Kevin Lane, and his wife, Laurie, of New Milford; Kelly Lane, and his wife, Anna, of Brookfield; and Melissa Stokes, and her husband, Kevin, of Naugatuck; and 12 grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica, Whitney, Nicole, Corbin, Mariah, Olivia, Danny, Kaitlyn, Lizzie, Julia and Kylie.

The Cornell Memorial Home in Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
